Glass negative taken at Mount Desert Rock, October 1908. View shows the extension built onto the kitchen of the double house, where a flat-roofed section extends beyond the original rear wall. Men stand on the roof and on a wooden scaffold, and one sits on the roof dormer. Toward the left of the photo a large pile of trash wood is visible, and in the foreground fish are laid on wooden racks drying.
